Then there was food and chatter and what not. It was a good evening out where I was a girl and not just someone's Mummy.

UPDATE: Just heard from my brother and then spoke with my Mom. She is out of surgery. Yay! They just took the toe, she has her other ones. She is pretty high on the drugs. I first asked her, "Did you get your hands on some sketchy hash? I told you about that." But she is good. She told me, "As soon as I can, I am going to start running again and damn I am going to be in the best shape ever."
I believe her. When my Mother really really decides to do something? She freaking does it. Back in the 80s when she quit smoking, she just did it. Like that. One day she stopped. That is the kind of will she has when she sets her mind to it. Fear Mrs. Chazbot.
I am going to visit her tomorrow and bring books and gossip.
