shelf confessions

Today I went out and stocked up on herbs and spices. I stocked up on chevre and havarti cheese. I went and had coffee with friends. I lazed about with Mr. Jenner and Senor Onion. I made a happy dinner involving ravioli. Further lazing about was accomplished.
I also received sound advice regarding cameras. I may have narrowed it down. Now to actually get my paws on it and see if it is all that and then some.
I bought some fancy-pancy Italian cocoa today. It would be good for baking. [livejournal.com profile] bbcaddict said it would be good for making a quality mocha. Quite. There is a lot that a person could do with this stuff.
Once again we have sage, rosemary, oregano and nutmeg. I had finally run out. I also labeled a few tins that hadn't been labeled. Now my spice/herb shelf would make Martha Stewart envy me. I also realized I have a lot of chocolate. On one shelf there is some Mexican chocolate, about five different bars (and kinds) of chocolate, three different kinds of baking cocoa, a bag or two of chocolate chips and a jar of nutella. I am prepared for any chocolate eventuality. We even have cook and serve chocolate pudding. Oh wait... I also have some cadbury buttons somewhere else and maybe a few packets of other cadbury products.(and then there is the hot chocolate/drinking chocolate)
Yeah. I don't have a problem.
Alright so I hoard chocolate.
What if there was some kind of national crisis and I couldn't get a hold of the stuff?????
I am like a Mormon having enough food on hand for at least a year.

Time for bed.

Exactly! You understand this need. I think I only have three types of flour.
