unintentional dorkiness or Much Ado About Nothing
Somehow the subject of the names of computers came up. There is a theme that all of the computers at Chez Anglo-America are named after characters from the plays of Shakespeare. Puck, Tybalt (ironically that computer later died) Lysander and so on. I asked Mr. Jenner what he had named his recently acquired laptop (I don't recall whether I had asked him or not before now) and he named it Benedick.
I covered my face out of semi-mock embarrassment when I realized something. I had named my laptop Beatrice. (hand to God I had named it not knowing that his was called Benedick) If you suddenly feel a little sick at such silliness go right ahead. Even I do a little. "Oooh look at them their laptops match."

My computer is named Sylvester. For no particular reason. My last computer was named Roger 2 (someone else had a computer named Roger on the school's network).

So do you ever name things after French figures from history or literature? Any called Collette?
