What I do with my hands

Today I made a large batch of pesto. A girl can have a lot of fun with her food processor. Now I have a nice tidy batch in the freezer and then I used some to go with the prosciutto tortellini that we had for dinner. (I also made a salad of roasted bell peppers and wilted spinach) My other significant project today was making a sachertorte. It was fairly labor intensive but the results were incredibly satisfying. A small slice is quite rich and decadent and it isn't complete without a dollop of whipped cream. My cake for the week is complete. Now to begin the search for another cake to conquer. I am thinking of doing something Italian.

Last night I could not fall asleep until nearly three in the morning and then Alex woke up. Fine. Dandy. I take care of him and then it takes forever to fall asleep once again. Alex awoke again. The child is trying to kill me. I slept a little bit and I attempted to take a nap today but my body doesn't want to relax or something.
Time to take a bubble bath and hope for sleep.

It does sometimes seem like the little things are trying to kill us, doesn't it?

The CIA should use babies to break people's wills if they want to get information. Forget this namby-pamby physical torture stuff.
