rambling to nowhere

A bit of a domestic day. (as if there is any other kind?)
I hacked away at a bush near the entrance of our house. It was threatening to take over. It is still threatening to do so but it is tamed for a little bit. I even had to take a hacksaw to a few parts of the damn thing. I have also made lasagna today. Not my favorite thing to make but it seemed like the decent thing to do with some ground beef I had in the fridge.
Laundry was also done. Lucky me.

Tomorrow I shall go to the cheese festival. Who wants to go and eat free cheese with me. I also need to buy shampoo. I had hoarded a vast supply of fancy over-priced shampoo so I didn't need to buy anything for over a year or two and I have finally gone through the last of everything. So sad. So tragic.

What kind of cake should I make this week?

Cheese Festival

How I wish I could go and sample all the free cheese. And then come home and fall into a dairy induced coma. Instead I'll just have nachos for dinner and call it even.

I'm almost out of shampoo too. I have a real problem buying shampoo these days because even though there's like an entire aisle dedicated to it in the market, I don't like any of 'em. When I have buttloads of money again I'm going to go to someplace like Aveda and shoot my wad. In the meantime, I'm thinking something from TJ's will have to do.

I vote for the most interestingly textured cake any human being has ever sat on. But... that's just me.

You would have fun at this cheese festival. Trust me. But nachos work too. I haven't had quality nachos in some time. I want someone to bring me nachos. The kind with extra melty cheee. I also want a coke to go with it.
I completely understand your position and feelings about shampoo. A girl gets spoiled by the good stuff. I am also someone who is pulled in by pretty packaging. There is a nifty little shampoo I like that smells good, is ethically kind and is pretty to look at. Naked Bee (http://www.amazon.com/Naked-Bee-Cleansing-Shampoo-Conditioner/dp/B000PSSPZY) is the one I like when I need to take a break from my other shampoos.
