hot dog

I had a few friends over to eat ice cream and drink cold beverages. It was a good way to combat the heat. Senor Onion was a delightful host. He would invite people in and say, "you want some ice cream?" He would then thrust bowls into people's hands and tell them they should have ice cream.
Okay so at one point he flashed everyone at the party but really who hasn't done that in a social occasion.
*crickets*
Okay so it runs in the family. OKAY???

Despite the unkind heat, it was a pretty nice Sunday. A good Sunday in August. Now the heat may go away for a bit.

I find it wonderful to arrive at a party & straight out the gate, have a charming little lad say he likes your dress & want some ice cream??? Yes, indeed I do.

And ah, the streaking incident. Little kids, keeping it lively! Took me right back to some memories of when I used to help babysit in the church nursery, when I was a teenager.

You have lovely children - I think this was my first time meeting Miss Plum in person. Darling.

Your child is a major nudist.

Now there is a party I wish I could've attended. Nudity, ice cream and socializing? What could be better?

Crap! I missed it! I'd forgotten about it, but honestly I was too sick to be there anyway.

I hope you had a great time! And I'm still hoping we can get together in the next couple of weeks for some pickling. I'll bring my grandmother's recipes...

Ahh, I wish we could have come. I unexpectedly had to work on Saturday, so Sunday was spent recovering and getting ready for the upcoming week.

Plus, the one day Logan and I got to see each other.

Your children sound delightful, as always. I regret not being there to witness the cute.

Best ice cream party ever! Senor Onion is the greatest kid ever! And that sorbet that I can't stop thinking about... it was the best ever.
