demi-gah!

My mother came over today. I took her up to the north end of the city so she could buy music. (she can't find her Gershwin books) Oh and to take her to another yarn store she has never been to. It is kind of like taking Amy Winehouse to the finer crack-houses of Detroit. Only there isn't blood on the shoes so much. Though who knows... Knitters have sharp objects and get pissed now and then.
I found some yarn too. I am making a hat! Will it take me forever to make? Possibly.
But should I finish it, I will be pleased. And I will tell people. "Look. I made this. Be wowed."
Random strangers.
At the bus.
Like that one kid in A Christmas Story who stands in line next to Ralphie and makes inane remarks.
"I Love Goofy."

"I made this hat."
"...that's nice."

I fed my Mother dinner and had her try out recipes I have been testing as of late. Always good to get multiple opinions on things related to pie. Though in the end all things pie tends to come down to, "yeah...this is good."

Mr. Jenner and I went out to dinner! Like real-life grown-ups. There wasn't a child to say, "DONE" rather loudly or say, "Demi-gah". We could talk about things or not talk about things.
we both love soup and snow peas, we love the outdoors, and talking and not talking. We could not talk or talk forever and still find things to not talk about.

We went to 35th St Bistro in Fremont. Right now is the 30 for 30 restaurant thing for November. 30 bucks gets you three courses per person. Not too shabby and it turned out to be pretty darn delicious. I will discuss that more later. Another restaurant conquered.

Now to take a hot bath and read a book.
