monthly baby-growing report.
My prenatal appt was amusing as ever. The magazines are always good, the view is excellent in the waiting room and I love everyone who works there. It seems that despite all of my good intentions to gain weight I only was able to put on half a pound. Thankfully everyone is very nice about it and noticed that I didn't really gain the last go around and figure there is no point in hassling me. They know I eat. I am sure friends who have seen me eat know I am not a salad with the dressing on the side kind of girl. ME WANT FOOD NOW!!!! NOM NOM NOM. Maybe I should get into competitive eating while I am pregnant. I could eat a lot of hot dogs. And tacos.
The baby is ridiculously healthy as am I. Go us!
The only real down-side or stark reality is that I may have to give up picking up/lifting Senor Onion. I run the real risking of pulling a muscle and I may have sort of hurt myself by picking him up. So it seems I am not immortal or something. What a drag. Thankfully taking hot baths helps ease the pain at the end of the day. That and root beer floats.
There is always a bit of a wait in the exam room. (it is life) It isn't too bad as there are issues of People magazine to peruse, I had some knitting and there is a great view of the city. I can see Saint James Cathedral, the Smith Tower, Puget Sound and everything else. So if you ever want a pap smear with a view: go here. (I think that should be their new motto)
After that fun, I went to the drug store and bought shampoo and flossing sticks and a BIG Theo chocolate bar for me...and the baby. But mostly me.
There will be meatloaf for dinner.
