yawn

Senor Onion doesn't want to sleep unless I hold him. I suppose I could do that but then he cuts off the circulation to my hands.
I woke up in the middle of the night a few days ago and I could not feel my hands. Which was incredibly alarming in my half-conscious state. Then I could feel the blood come back to my hands. Literally feeling the blood move back into the veins of my hands is is probably one of the creepier sensations to experience.

So for now we nurse. And I watch Letterman.

Molly was a bit like that when she was young. I would end up holding her, then laying down and sleeping on my back with her on my chest, curled up in a little ball. Wish she would still do that, now she'll lay there for 10 seconds, accidentally kick me in the junk and start jumping on the bed.

Are we talking about Molly still, or me?

What an original form of birth control.

Which apparently isn't as fool proof as one might think.

Ah the love of a child.

My mom had the same problem with me (except it was constant ear infections that were keeping me up) and she watched M*A*S*H for hours on end every single night. When I was about 14, having never seen the show since I was an infant, I heard the theme music somewhere and could hum along with the entire thing. Weird.

Hahahaha. It was obviously drilled into your subconscious.

Man, I woke up the other day and my right hand was dead. I couldn't even open and close it to bring it back to life. I had to shake it around with my left hand.

[identity profile] gfrancie.livejournal.com 2007-04-13 04:32 pm (UTC)(link)
I couldn't even really shake my hands. They sort of flopped about like sad puppets.

Exactly. That's totally how it was. I had to grab my right wrist and shake the hand around with my left hand. At least my left hand was alive.

Such a horrible feeling.
