Happy Easter!

Quick..hurry before the mutant chickens find that we have taken their eggs.

I'm often struck by the underlying paganism in the older greeting cards for Easter, Halloween, and Christmas. The artwork and chosen themes give them an edginess and slight taste of the sinister I find appealing.

Old Halloween cards are the best. They are always so peculiar.

Those rabbits better hide before humans realize they've got boat rowing mutated rabbits available for scientific study.

Those rabbits look like they could take on the humans.

Everyone but Chuck Norris.

I think Chuck Norris would be slightly scared.

That's fine. As long as he can still take on the fluffy bunnies.

Your postcards and captions might be the best thing about holidays.

Hee.
I will take any holiday and take the piss out of it.

Aww! Thank you!

(And I have a nursery rhyme book filled with illustrations like this, and it totally took me back.)

I love these kinds of illustrations because there is a delightful touch of creepy about some of them.

Happy Easter! I hope you, Mr. Jenner, and Senior Onion enjoyed the day.

There was chocolat and napping. What is not to like.
