As I was riding the bus (you notice I do that a lot)I was reading my book and I suddenly thought to myself on that sweltery summer day, "Did I put on panties this morning?" I had no recollection of the matter, but it turns out I did! It was a slightly nervous moment, because I was wearing a skirt and I was in certain places that were breezy.

I walked down the lane, with a happy refrain...(quick what is that a line from?)

I was on the ferry and sat across from a middle-aged woman doing the Seattle P-I crossword. Easy...
I continued to read my book and listen to people behind me, discuss yoga.
"I read this book, called yoga for wimps, though I am not sure if it was called that"
"was it yoga for dummies"
"no, but something for losers or idiots, so I think it was yoga for wimps, though it could have been something else"
"oh so what is it about?"
"oh you know, yoga and stuff, see I am really tight" (I suppose a person could make a joke here, but these were middle-aged sometimes-hippie types that don't go for those immature jokes)
"uh huh, so it helps you become flexible"
"well no, it just helps you do certain poses, yoga is hard you know and I am always quitting my classes, I just don't have any flexibility, I haven't touched my toes...since well since never I am just too tight"

the fact that I can recite this conversation says something.
none of it is good either.
I had to get up, and leave to keep what little sanity I had intact. Plus I made them nervous when I was reading my book and I laughed out loud. I am not crazy people, I just know what is funny.

I stood out on the deck of the ferry and watched as a seagull flew right next to me. and then below me about five feet. It is certainly an odd sight to see something fly beneath you.

Such incredible blue skies everywhere.
