I read somewhere that scent memory is the strongest. Sometimes I catch scents in the most random places (the stairwell in the building that I work in) that bring me back to the most random memories (my grandparents' house that I haven't been to in years). Fall rainstorms remind me a lot of my time in Europe, since it pretty much rained the entire time I was there.
I hope you catch your migraine in time! Caffeine can help me out a lot. But barring that, it's Imitrex plus oxyprozone (anti-inflammatory) plus a nice nap. Good luck!
