I do believe I am having a bit of an asthma attack this morning. It happens every few years -mostly related to allergies.
I lack an inhaler because I haven't needed one since I was a teenager. Still. I feel like someone is stepping on my chest and when I went to read Senor Onion a story this morning I became dizzy and light-headed. I ended up having to read The Three Little Pigs in a breathy voice. The Big Bad Wolf never sounded so dirty. *snorts*
Oh? And I went up the steps too fast and I thought I was going to pass out.
So I have been drinking a couple cups of coffee and things are settling down. Of course drinking coffee makes me feel like I am on speed. My heart-rate speeds up, I get hilarious hand-tremors (think Katherine Hepburn the later years) and I feel twitchy. But I can breathe much more comfortably now. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
If this asthma nonsense keeps up today I will schedule an appointment with my doctor to see how things are going in my lungs and so on.

In the past few days all of the trees in the neighborhood have re-grown their leaves. Even though it is over-cast today everything in the area is a sort of technicolor green. It is such a pleasant surprise every Spring. "Oh hey color!"

Today I am going to work on an ice cream for my Mother. She is diabetic and so she can't eat a five pound sack of sugar. As of late she has had to be more mindful of her blood sugar numbers, so I am going to try out this recipe that is supposed to be freaking fantastic. She doesn't have the sweet-tooth that I have, but a lady likes to have something fun now and then.
