This week has mostly been spent tending to a sick little kid. He is getting better and is actually eating again. For awhile he was living on rice pudding and water. There are worse diets.
I watched a lot of old movies, read some books, did a bit of knitting and other domestic activities. Dinner has a theme of simple to prepare. Last night it was pasta with a bechamel sauce that had comte cheese, peas and a bit of bacon. The pasta was the last of some terrific multi-colored pasta I bought in Pasadena. I wish I could go back to that market and buy more of their stuff. So reasonably priced and tasty. I fed the leftovers to Senor Onion today. He approved. This morning I baked bread.

I am thinking about possible desserts to make. It isn't like we lack. (There is a pile of Turkish delight, chocolate, ice cream, sorbet, cookies and probably something else in a cupboard) It is more of a pathological need to bake. I could always make more ice cream and pass out the results to strangers. "Here eat this. Write an evaluation and send it to this address."

All that effort.

"Treasure Island" is the name of the fabric. Senor Onion picked it out. Faintly vintage-looking and pretty darn cheerful.

I found the monkey wall decals from this etsy shop. Who doesn't enjoy having monkeys on their walls?

I found these cards when I was pregnant and I finally put them to good use.
