gfrancieI went and saw Road to Perdition tonight. I must say, Sam Mendes is brilliant, his cinematographer Conrad Hall can capture all of these moments with such beauty. The lighting of the movie starts out dark and it becomes lighter and lighter as time continues. I truly fell inlove with the stark grim approach. It wasn't sentimental, it wasn't apathetic. It just existed.
I shall have to see it again.
PLUS, I saw a preview for the Martin Scorcese film, Gangs of New York. That looks terribly exciting and I know my brother can't wait to see it.
