More photographic adventures during my week

It's Thursday! We go to the library. Though they have changed story hour to Tuesday in the afternoon. Between you and me that sounds insane. 1pm? really? Isn't that usually naptime for the juice box set? I just picture kids being kind of...manic. Who the hell is going to sit still for a round of "Row Row Row your Boat" when really you want to throw some sticks and have a meltdown. That aside we had a good time. We picked up some books, a new book with CD and Senor Onion played with a number of puzzles. It is a very light-filled library.
This is in Montlake. We started going here because at the time the closer library branch closed to be renovated and I never went back. Habits are formed.

Here we are in Madison Park. People here are very chi-chi at times. Scarves are a must. These are the ladies who lunch and are members of the Junior League (which is located across the street)

Let's go to the bakery. It isn't a fancy one with artisan bread that is milled by silent virgins. It is a classic bakery. You can get Nanaimo bars and a good danish. They also make cakes!

A children's dress shop. As you can see it is Jean Paul Gaultier season or something. At Christmas they had an electric train in the window.

After a trip to the bakery for a happy face cookie Senor Onion declared it was time for a weekly visit to the beach. This is Madison Park Beach on Lake Washington. Yes it may be February but it is a bright gorgeous day out. Lets go look at the water and bother the birds.

Let's get our Vitamin D! In the Summer people will flock here at all hours; especially in the heat.

Cascade mountains and the 520 Bridge. (technically the Governer Rossellini bridge if you want to get all pedantic and shit)

Obviously you can't see it, but Bill Gates lives directly across the water. There is Senor Onion having a nice time near the shore. He pointed out the mountains to me.

Now to the playground. It is overly fancy if you ask me. But no one has. Lots of yummy mummy types, foreign nannies, the rare Dad and children named Tybalt and Tyson. It is mid-winter break I believe so there are older kids there. It was loud. Senor Onion seems to enjoy himself despite the fact that he doesn't really like slides or swings. Kind of leaves a person limited. I am afraid he has inherited my natural distrust of playground equipment.
Next time we can go for a walk as I make my way toward my physical therapist's office.
