I'm glad the doctor gave you pain meds. I can't take codeine, it makes me sick to my stomach. I found tramadol to be my drug of choice when my back was acting up pre-and post surgery. Now I keep a stash of it on hand.
It's always good to have a stash of narcotics nearby just in case you need them.
