alright here we go

I don't think I will dwell too much upon this recent tragedy. I am lucky that I have not lost anyone. My prayers go out to anyone who has.
I must say this...I will always remember where I was.
It was six am PDT and I was half asleep and I heard the radio and I yelled OH MY GOD! and I ran into the living room, turned on the television, just as the second plane hit the second tower. When ever I see that image, I feel incredibly sick to my stomach.
I do encourage people to donate blood, especially people who are O+ like myself. Let's get that rare blood out there. I hate to do it, it is incredibly painful and draining (har har har) but there are people who need it badly.

On other bits of news....I made some incredible poached pears with a wine sauce. I poured it over vanilla ice cream, and I think I did a damn fine job.

okay...so yesterday I heard eight million people just talking and laying their thoughts on the matter and at this point I need to let something loose. Most of you people know jack shit about politics, foreign policy, terrorism and you just say the most stupid stuff. Right now...I wish 90 percent of the population would just shut the fuck up, listen up a little and maybe read a bit about why....terrorism happens...maybe read a bit about other cultures and not immediatly think that war is the answer. War ought to be the last thing you want to do. It always pisses me off...even when I was a kid and people made the most dumb statements about the gulf war.
The only thing an economic embargo does is put the people even more at the mercy of their horrid government.
I saw the footage of the palestineans...and yes that was awful, but do you realize the US gov't has always taken side with the Israeli gov't which is not perfect by any means. I don't condone any acts of terrorism, but also within the fantatical sect of muslim faith, dying...violently is the highest honor. Many people keep saying incredibly dumb things about the people.
It really chaps my hide when they do those interviews on the streets and talk to people , who last voted for the fat or thin elvis postage stamp. Know very little about the outside world, or anything beyond protestant culture.
wooo I have been meaning to get that off my mind.
So people...before you say things like, "lets bomb those towel heads" think a little...most people who live in the middle east are not like that, many are at the mercy of cruel leaders.....children are dying there because of our economic embargos, and yes I do believe we need to find who did this horrifying act.
But....have a little sympathy towards everyone...and see how others see things.
