What does she do with all of her time????
I went and hung out with the boys, I showed up, they were sitting around doing nothing and Justin was bragging about the cornbread he made. He added honey and he said if you put it in a bowl and added milk it was just like cereal. I had some, it was mighty good. So folks, if you are around Justin when he is cooking, ask for some cornbread.
Then they had me listen to the Louis C.K. cd. I giggled a lot and fell out of my chair twice (but I think we are used to that.)
Then Nick and I went to the store and we bought gum...cheese...rice milk. (the staples for any kitchen)
I met up with boywonder and we went to a party at his former roomates.
Most amusing. the old roomates gf was an absolute sweetheart and we sat and had a good laugh.
We had this rather...hilarious exchange
her: so what are you?
me: a person I understand
her:no no no, Rob always has three kinds of people at his parties; political types, microsofties, and jews.
me:oh...well I am not that political, I don't work at microsoft...but I have been known to have sex with jews. so maybe I will go with the last one.
her: oh...good, enjoying it?
me:of course.
I proceeded to have a couple of martini's and talk to a big black bissexual named tony, who wanted to fuck a number of the males at the party.
I don't believe he succeeded.
I did laugh when Rob would introduce me to people as, "This is Gennie, our little corrupt catholic friend"
One of the more entertaining aspects of the party was observing people. I noticed that I and one other girl were the only brunettes. The other brunette a very funny cocky girl from Long Island was jewish and a hotshot computer geek.
But for the most part it was shiksa central.
There was a girl from Tiki-bobs. She was lacking alot of her clothes (but I have noticed that is quite common, I suspect they don't make enough in tips to buy enough to wear...poor things)
She was quite sweet.
I also met an environmental activist, a oft-returning Microsoft intern, a UW student, and a law student who found a giant supersoaker (which was so phallic and penis-oriented that it should have been named, "THE MIGHTY PENIS") and was squirting water onto the Alaska Way Highway. clever. What made it fairly funny was his appearance. He was sporting this...fifties pseudo-hipster beatnik look. Complete with the beret. I almost expected him to recite a bit of Kerouac, play the bongos and fool around with Allen Ginsburg.
Maybe that would have been a bit much?
After all that merriment, we went to this very New York-inspired restaurant/bar called Bada. It had a sleek minimalist appeal. It had these clever chairs and tables everywhere, white benches that made me think of a whorehouse for some reason, pooltables, and this giant screen which was playing Bruce Lee films. I had some tequila shots, showed no fear and then waxed poetical about nothing. I swore I saw this girl I know Leah there. hrm..I should ask her, "hey were you sitting looking bored at Bada?" I slouched a lot and found the vodka too warm.
I then went home...slept in a funny position and woke up with the worst backpain in the world.
What does a girl do at a time like that?
Go and have Indian food. It wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worse, which is alright for a sunday. I then went and watched a grand piece of cinema.
yes folks...
Not Another Teen Movie.
I shall say this, if you watch a lot of teen movies (and you know who you are) you will laugh at all of the references.
Also I feel a lot of deep personal shame, because I realized I have watched a lot of teen movies so um...yeah. let's move onto another subject.
Hung out with my pal Magpie, we went to the mall...Toys R Us and Target.
We liked to get a dose of mass consumerism now and then to feel good about ourselves.
I came home, played with the puppy, had some salad and a lot of orange juice and took a very long hot bath.
I am feeling every moment of this weekend.
It wasn't like I did anything big...I just felt every moment...oof.
