Okay I have a question to throw to the girls of livejournal world.
Here is the deal. When I was in Florida I went swimming in a pool which seems to have had its PH a little off. Thus most of my hair has become weird. It is slightly straw-like and it is depressing me. It wasn't like I just let the chlorine sit on my hair for days on end. I would wash it and everything.
It seems slightly okay when I condition the life out of it.
I am tempted to do an olive oil treatment on it or something.
Anyways my question is does anyone have a suggestion as to how to treat this?
I want my pretty soft hair back with all of the curls.

Still snow on the ground...and ice.
blah.

Tonight chicken matzo-ball soup.

oh the feminine portion of my livejournal offered some mighty helpful advice.
I left the Burt's bees avocado hair treatment in overnight and it actually helped quite a bit.
I may try a hot oil treatment and I am not washing my hair for the rest of the week.
I bought some of the garnier garnierfructis (whatever the hell it is called) and I will use that.

Pools are evil!

My hair looked much better today but it doesn't feel quite right yet.

This is kind of a new experience using a multitude of hair products because I am queen of low maintenance hair.
I wash it every few days if I remember. I may condition once a month to keep the frizz level low and I comb it about once a month.
I also trim my own hair every so often if the ends look a little weak.
Now I enter this place where I am trying to get it back to normal.
I want to go back to the happy place where I never looked at my hair and just put it up in a loose knot when I went to work.

ack...being a girl is such bullshit at times.

Oh well, on the upside tampons were on sale at the drug store. Which is always nifty.

I couldn't find any fucking matzo meal downtown today. Are there no Jews in downtown Seattle? I didn't feel like going all the way to Capitol Hill to get some mix.
I decided on doing gnocchi for my chicken soup. I was in DeLaurenti's and I was tired. I also bought some German Chocolate biscuits to have at tea. YUM.
I made the stock yesterday. I took leftover chicken stock and I simmered it with a carrot (cut up), some celery and half an onion (with the skin on) and the stock is fucking terrific. Not too salty and the right amount of schmaltz. (the stock recipe comes courtesy of the 2nd Ave Deli in New York City)
I will just add some more shredded chicken, some sliced carrots a bit of chopped celery and some potatoes.
Add the gnocchi and ta-da dinner!

Outside:slush-city. Just add flavoring.
