This morning I prepared stuffing and a turkey and I made some eggnog cake. Now I relax. A little.

There are reasons why it is dangerous to celebrate a holiday with people who have known you a long time. They bring up things like 'Adventure Jane and Jungle Bob'.

We were fortunate and didn't have to wait in line for years on end when catching a ferry either way. But it was still smart to leave early. We had a pleasant afternoon with the Blanchard-Wrights and various extended family. More people had the chance to meet Mr. Jenner so they could see he actually does exists. And he was a patient man who didn't say anything with a particular person referred to her cats as "her daughter and the twins". This is a man to marry if he doesn't maky any remarks.

Everyone loved my desserts so I am a happy girl. The pumpkin pie proved to be quite popular and the crinkles disappeared instantly.
Yes I am a pleased little bunny.

Now to have a few friends over to eat turkey and make snide remarks.

Who wants some turkey?


I feckin' forgot my maple sugar. *grumbles*

a simple plea

I am working in less then twelve hours. Folks, stay home. Unless you are genuinely going to buy something I want you to stay home. You are taking up space in a fairly crowded place. If you want atmosphere why don't you decorate your home?
Do this for me. Do this for every other person in retail who looks a little faded.
