Let's have some bourbon
Dec. 10th, 2004 06:09 pmI did some more Christmas shopping today. That was fun....for awhile. I am nearly done. I have a few more things to pick up and I will be done by the 17th. Yay for me.
Today I also finished writing all of my Christmas cards. I take that back. I have two left to attend to.
But I did finish the rest. They are all stamped and addressed. I addressed forty-some cards by hand. Miss Manners would be proud. Those fuckers better be grateful.
I now need to wrap a good portion of presents and maybe make some cookies this weekend.

Oh Mr. Jenner is so kind. He took me to dinner and we had a nice lovely talk about virtual particles and black holes and the rise of American cuisine in the late twentieth century in relation to the influences of World War II.
I had the meat loaf with bacon and the black-strap molasses gravy. (Talk about heavenly) Mr. Jenner had a Holiday wreath salad. (yes it looked like a wreath) The fact that he ate a salad for dinner is alarming but it did have meat (among other things)
We had the candy cane cake for dessert. It was a cake that was layers of red velvet cake and vanilla cream cake with a lovely butter cream icing with a bit of peppermint extract and crushed candy cane. It looked like something from Dr. Seuss. I will write more about it later. Now I must climb into my pajamas. eat a chocolate or a macaroon and think thoughts of sleepy-time.
