Too many people...too many people. *rocks back and forth in a fetal position*
The thing that kept me from heaving books at people was the fact that after today I do not have to be back at work until after the fifth of January. Huzzah is a word that comes to mind. Oh happy day.
An old co-worker of mine came in to work and we shared all the hilarious gossip. Coke fiends, sex addicts, and the stupid. All the fine fine people who work at B&N.
I bought one last present for the super amazing Mr. Jenner (who was kind enough to mail out a package of presents for the people at Chez Cog) and a magazine for me to read on the plane on Monday. For long-haul flights I suggest Vanity Fair. It has pictures of the famous and boring and amusing articles about the formally famous and boring. Superficial fun to amuse yourself with when you don't want to watch movies or when you are waiting to board.
I just need to wrap a two presents, do laundry, pack and maybe buy another shirt (because some of my clothes are looking a tad worn) and then I am a-ready.
Tonight I will have a couple of friends over to drink my alcohol. Who wants to drink my alcohol?
I am too tired to move.
A very nice couple invited us to their house tonight but I suspect I am not quite in the mood to be that kind of social. So I must send my regrets. I just want to lie on my sofa and watch British television.
Small highlight of today was the fact that B&N pays for a continual supply of yummy food since it is nearly impossible to go and get something to eat during your lunch without waiting in line the whole time.
The week before Christmas they have everything. fruit, nuts, chips, candy, shrimp cocktail, cheese, crackers and vegetables. Plus a lot of beverages.
It kept me from going nuts to know I could eat my weight in shrimp cocktail during my lunch hour.
