I gave myself a dandy second-degree burn on my thumb, the cake turned out very rich and pretty and I believe it is going to rain all day.

I am fairly cheerful.

cocktail hour

You bitches sure posted a lot today. Christ.
I went to work. It was work-like and I nearly killed a co-worker. But I didn't. So I deserve a cookie.
A high-light of my day was seeing a middle-aged man dressed in a jaunty hat, a cape and the full lederhosen costume. Right down to the shoes and socks. It was something else. He was mostly looking at books on business motivation and leadership. I had a customer today who purchased three magazines geared toward smoking pot and the whole cannabis culture. He smelled so strongly of pot it was like he had been living at a Grateful Dead/Phish concert for the past ten years. It was just a tad early in the morning to smell that much pot on one person. Even a co-worker reacted when she stood near him. She was putting something away and then she looked rather surprised and sniffed the air and her eyes opened rather wide.


Tonight for dinner I am making lamb burgers. We have the choice of either jarslberg cheese (a Norwegian cheese) or le delice cheese (a triple creme cheese) to go on top of the lamb. I like to go for broke.

The burn on my finger is looking decent. I don't encourage people to burn their fingers when making dinner.
