Today we discuss soup. I am making chicken matzo-ball soup for dinner tonight but not everyone may be a fan of such things. I will probably serve that up with some bread (I need to walk over to the bakery) and we will work our way through some more of the lemon meringue pie. I must say this is probably the best pie I have made in some time. Tomorrow Mr. Jenner will have the task of making dinner since I am working quite late.

Today's vegetarian option is a roasted carrot soup.
This is appealing through-out the seasons. )

In a fit of activity I built a small garden bed, transplanted the cosmo and weeded the other bed. I also moved a spinach plant that was going to pieces, dead-headed the rose bush and watered the tomato plant and the pumpkin plant. It was a good day to play Vita Sackville-West. (minus the rampant lesbianism) I returned phone calls, took care of some laundry, shaved my legs and acquired a subscription to Cook's Illustrated. Now I need to finish making some soup and hand-wash my "unmentionables" and fold some laundry.
This is my day off. *rolls her eyes*

YAY! Let's applaud our friends to the North (if you are American) and their enlightened ways.

I will have the good taste not to mention the speech earlier made by Mr. Bush. After all it is approaching dinner time.
