A restaurant I like sent me one of their email fliers. Next Tuesday they are having a dinner devoted to the wines of burgundy and in the flier a sentence caught my eye and made me think of cogshiftingman.

Some of the most hedonistic and intriguing wines in the world come from Burgundy.

It kind of makes the wine sound as if it is the Marquis de Sade of the wine world. There goes that Burgundy again seducing young virgins and taking opium whilst engaging in some form of sexual depravity not seen since the times of Henry II.

going through things

As we continue putting together music there are things I am finding songs that I know people will dance to once they have had a few drinks. Really there is something about weddings that causes people to have a few more drinks and then slur to the nearest person, "ohmahgawsh I just loooooooooooooooooovvvvvvvvvve 'Come On Eileen' we must dance. WEMUSTDANCE." Then you go and dance and work off some of that wine you had. The next morning when you are working on a slight hang-over and your legs feel incredibly sore you think to yourself, "what was I doing? and how did that bruise get there?"

Music for dancing is much like the wine itself. You start off with the good stuff and people relax and enjoy and then when they are mildly toasted you bring out the cheap stuff and people really let loose. Oh the shame.
