Some interesting food trends and changes for the new year.

Some highlights of note are:
-Hershey has bought up chocolatier Scharffen Berger. (Gourmet chocolate -especially drinking chocolate is continuing to expand)

-Butterscotch is the new favorite of chefs. I love butterscotch. I even named a cat Butterscotch.

-If there is any egg, peanut, nut, fish, shellfish, wheat or soy in a product, the label will have to say so. Which I think it is a bit over-due.

(fancy that) I am not the keenest fan of "celebrity" fragrances but this one has moxie. Plus the damn girl actually worked on it for like ten years and just didn't slap her name on some musky scented crap. So we approve.

In other news I tried out my super pretty crepe pan today and made a sexy batch of crepes. Both savory and sweet. I think I will have to make more.
