Can he come up with something to top "internets"?

This is the first time the President has faced a less than...attentive crowd. I thought today, "He might face a kinder audience singing, 'And I Am Telling You (I'm Not Going)' at Amateur Night at the Apollo."

When I see the Vice-President look at the President, I shudder and recall someone telling me about Cheney/Bush slash. (it isn't the politics, it is the weird idea of doing fan-fic with political figures of any kind)

During the speech there will be a number of standing ovations regarding various statements. To me it makes me think of Mass. All the standing and sitting, the hand-shaking. All that is missing is some kneeling.

When Bush introduced Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House (and the first Madame Speaker) There was quite the ovation. Is this the State of the Union or a Led Zeppelin concert? (As my Mother would say, "Obviously not Led Zeppelin -there are no frisbees.")

As for my own State of the Union, "More cleavage, less footless tights."

Tonight I have made a rather sexy potato leek soup. There is bacon involved. But then...there is always bacon involved.
