some random sentences for the day
Jan. 30th, 2007 10:13 pmI love running across vandalism in Wikipedia. Especially about various famous people. There was a sentence today that said that Dara O'Brian (an Irish comedian) recently grew tentacles and enjoyed terrorizing local villages.
Alas within minutes of reading the sentence, someone removed it. A real shame though. A bit like finding Easter Eggs.
I ordered pizza tonight. One must celebrate getting through January. The pizza though? It was meh. Ah well. I gave this pizza place a few chances to get their stuff together and obviously they just don't want the love. There is another place that does alright but I can't always deal with the guy who answers the phone. He sounds like Euro-trash and that he is one step away from giving out phone sex. I have this visual image of him looking like the guy that Lucy briefly dated in TwinPeaks. You know the guy who worked at the Department Store and wore a coat around his shoulders. Yeah. That guy. (someone will know what I am talking about)
I baked muffins today. Thrilling.
In other super exciting news it seems that ITV (English television channel) is going to be doing a season of Jane Austen. (people may wet their pants...now) The movies will be shown in America this Autumn on Masterpiece Theater. They are doing Northanger Abbey, Mansfield Park and Persuasion. Hot-diggity-dog I say.
Preview of some of the stuff. (along with some other movies) In England they will be showing beginning in March. (Time to be a Pirate)
And on a Motherly note; there were moments today where I really wanted to throw some bricks. Not at anyone in particular, but it would have been fun to throw bricks. Maybe at strangers passing by.
