There are English people in my house. Do you know what that means? It means people are always in the mood for a long walk. I have a theory that English colonialism was a long walk that got out of hand. "Let's go for a wander and see where we end up." Someone (named Cecil or Bertram) forgot to bring the maps and they ended up in the depths of Africa or Asia. Of course they wouldn't dare ask for directions because they are sure if they just follow this bend they will end up near Truro or Haworth.
But I tease.

Right now my in laws are out shopping. (Mr. Jenner had a meeting to attend) My Father in law is a man who doesn't hold any interest in clothes and would rather buy his clothes "broken in" (as he says) at charity shops. My Mother in law doesn't appreciate this and doesn't exactly want her husband to wander about looking like a beggar. The man genuinely views clothes like a car. If you buy new then immediately the value will depreciate. I did say last night that a jumper isn't a jetta. So my Mother in law on the strength of the pound is forcing her husband to get a few new things. It is a good time to be an English tourist in America, the buying power is quite lovely. Absolutely worthless going over there but hey it balances out sometimes. (of course it can take decades)

Now it is time for some tea. and maybe a nap. Who doesn't like a nap.
