Things are more civilized today.
Today we went for a walk in the arboretum. We lazed about on the grass. Senor Onion tried to eat daisies and a pleasant Sunday afternoon was had by all. Of course as we eked toward home The Sun King began to lose his patience with the world at large and expressed that with some weeping/moaning. He was placated a bit when Mr. Jenner raced the stroller down the sidewalk. Almost as good as racing down the aisle of a grocery store.
Now Senor Onion is down for a nap. Hopefully it will last longer than half an hour. He seems to have a knack for waking just as I am about to eat something. Always. Someday I will be able to have a genuinely leisurely meal -that is hot. But enough pipe dreams for now.

I am thinking it might be fun to grill things tonight. I should also make a cake or something for the week.

Tonight for dinner I roasted a rack of lamb. I had never done that before. I think it turned out fairly well. (with a couple of hiccups that were easily remedied) It was quite rare, very juicy and deeply appreciated by Mr. Jenner. I also made a salad with caramelized apples, wilted spinach and walnuts. There was also crostini with warmed chevre.
A lovely Sunday night meal.
Tomorrow there will be sausage and peppers from the grill.
