We are currently at Berry Park working our way through marmite and jam.
So. British Airways is about to face my ire. I reserved a skycot weeks and weeks ago and they said, "yes all booked" we show up and they said, "mmmm yeah sorry no seats available."
You mean I have to hold my baby for nine hours????? In coach????? Toward the back of the plane?????
Well.
Yes.
Bless Senor Onion's soul he slept through most of the flight. Yes I had to hold that baby for nine hours (with a few breaks from Mr. Jenner) but he slept. People kept coming up to me on the plane and saying how he was the best baby in the world and how adorable and they were amazed how he was sleeping through it all.
Here is the kicker. I would have been understanding about the skycot situation if they had overbooked and there were babies using all of the skycots and bulkhead seating. Nope. It was just old people sitting there. Not even decrepit old people. Just old people whose great crime is sitting there and their choice of polyester pantsuits. Oh the humanity.
Mean Mummy Jenner ain't amused in the slightest.
So I plan on writing a scathing letter expressing my disappointment with British Airways. You hear that???? Disappointment. No one likes it when a Mother says she is disappointed. If I could somehow send waves of stern undertones I would.
The other sweet hell was the fact that it took forty minutes between landing and getting off the plane. We were sitting on the tarmac waiting for a slip to approach. Good lord. Plus it was an older ghetto 747 so the A/C wasn't exactly there and the plane was full. Hot bodies. not much space. Not much fun.
Thankfully we got off the plane. Mr. Jenner was beginning to contemplate starting a small fire just to get things moving.
We got our car and headed toward the Thames Valley. Where everything is extra quaint in a Lovejoy kind of way.
Next time I will post about Amazing steaks, twee villages and Senor Onion continuing to charm the freaking socks off the entire English nation. Plus our awesome adventures with the Iron Age.

I am now going to go on a walk and be a good sport.
