Happy Thanksgiving!

Remember: Kill your dinner before it takes revenge upon your children.

It was a rather nice Thanksgiving.
My Mother and two of my siblings came. As did bbcaddict. Everyone contributed something to the meal and I do believe people ate until they hurt.
Mr. Jenner made the roasted potatoes, (which was popular) Michel made the corn muffins, Kit made cheese biscuits, My Mom made her amazing gravy and bbcaddict brought two desserts that were gorgeous and delicious. Kit and Mike put it best when they said they tasted of Christmas. She made these green tea cupcakes with pomegranate frosting. She also made this pumpkin cake that had saffron, honey and pistachios. So cozy and sweet.
There was much to eat. I had one minor problem. I went to get the parsnips out of the fridge and they seemed to have gone wonky. So I just took the chorizo and added it to the braised brussel sprouts and it worked out quite well.
Senor Onion worked his way through quite a bit of food. I think he took to the idea of Thanksgiving rather well. He ate a ton and then passed out.
I sent home people with plenty of food.
I realize I have a lot of left over dessert. I may need to have people over to get rid of it. Mr. Jenner and I are only two people. We can only eat so much pie, cake, cupcakes and cherries in the snow. Cherries in the Snow was a surprise for my Mom. It made her day. Like Madeleines for Proust.

I am sleepy. Everything is clean and put away and all is calm.
