We are in lovely Pasadena. Even when it is overcast it manages to be sunny. I would love to know how they do that. Maybe Seattle can learn that trick.
Our flight down wasn't too bad, though there is a collective feeling among passengers that the pilot missed the runway on the first approach as we did this fairly sharp circle over burbank where we were practically sideways. "look the ground is on one side and the sky is on the other." And then for extra good measure we had a rather screaming fast landing. Would you like to know how fast? When we landed all of the passengers yelled, "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh." Like we were on a roller-coaster. But less cotton candy. Then there was laughter and people saying to no one in particular, "what the hell was that????"
It took forever for our rental car shuttle to show up and for the rental car agency to find a carseat for us. Apparently there is only one single car seat for Budget car rentals in the greater Burbank area.
We made it to Chez Cogparah where we were given an absolutely delicious dinner and we snarked about all of you. Plus there was dessert.
And sleep. Oh the sleep. But seriously. The dessert was terrific too.

Today there are plans of meat handling. We aren't sure what the girth of said meat will be but it will be satisfying. And hot. And smooth. I am excited.

I made sausages today.
As in SAUSAGES!
No really.
I played with hog casings and pork butt.
I visited a cook book shop run by a real hag, an Armenian bakery with insanely delicious baked goods, an Italian deli, and a kick-ass butcher who gave us a lot of interesting information. The best part was when he told us, "Now you girls have fun with your sausage-making."
I think I need that on a t-shirt.
And we did have fun with our sausage-making.

Someone who shall remain nameless uttered at dinner, "There is a little foreskin on my plate so don't mind it."
