My dream where I stab Mr. Jenner but he had it coming and we all know by now what an insecure pile of a human I am but I want you to see the humor in all of this. If you can. But knowing someone of you probably won't but that is okay. I am sure I secretly judge you and your shoe choices as well. But that is another conversation. )

We have English people here. I have been taking my usual route of the forthright American who tells everyone what to do. I am good at it. And ensures we get moving in under two hours. Y'all I got places to go.
Yesterday we went to the zoo, which was terrific. The lion would roar every ten minutes. He would get up from the rock, walk over to one area where you can look at him up close behind glass and roar and do his bit. "Ten shows daily."
Slutty lion.
The giraffes were out and about, the hippos were doing their usual thing of cuddling and lying like big old...hippos.
The monkeys were fun as always and the gorillas did not disappoint. Senor Onion is proving to be a major fan of the zoo and all of the animals.
After that we went to Redmill for burgers and fries.
Then naps and lazy time for all.

That evening we went to Boom Noodle. It is a Japanese restaurant that has very trendy/mod decor. The food is quite good -a good place to go to if you have people with different dietary needs and interestingly enough a good place to take small children. They have high chairs y'all!! (this is a high rating in my book these days)
We started off with little plates of all kinds of things. Salmon tartare, these potato crisps with edame puree and pickled eggplant, gyoza pot stickers and some sort of sushi plate with miso. Plus some snap peas with sea salt and lemon. The rest of the grown-ups had sake. I being the designated driver had this really delicious pear/apple/ginger juices with vanilla essence. Then we had noodle bowls. From salmon to pork to chicken. I admit I think the food gave me horrid indigestion but it was kind of worth it. The meal was lovely and Senor Onion ate nearly everything we gave him off of our plates. He loved anything with fish in it. Ate a lot of noodles. From ramen to Udon. And he was a generally congenial little dinner guest who remained quite calm. The service was attentive and swift (probably because they knew we wouldn't want to stay long with short-pants in attendance) and they have booze. A plus all around. I think we may go back.

Today it is a trip to the market, somewhere out for lunch and we will serve up raw oysters for dinner along with some other kind of sea food. My Father in law adores seafood and wine. So we will have a lot of both.

Anytime you have more than one English person in the room the puns are continuous. Always happening. No break.
Puns. Puns. Puns.
Which I suppose is better than dour looks and long silences.
But still.
Puns.
I am going to roll my eyes so much they might fall out of my head or stick.
