There was an interlude of Spring/Summer yesterday. This meant mowing and hiding from that bright scary orb in the sky.
We also began painting the ceiling in the guest room.
This is what passes for excitement at Chez Anglo-America sometimes.
In the evening, I had to convince Senor Onion that despite it still being daylight; he must go to sleep. If not for his own sake than for his Mother's shaky sanity.
He complied. Mostly out of exhaustion.

For dinner I steamed artichokes and served it with some aioli I had made earlier in the day. Mr. Jenner commented that artichokes are impressive for the pile of the used leaves makes it so it is bigger than what you started with. "The Tardis of foods."
We also had hot dogs with grilled onions and then some freshly sliced red bell pepper. Not exactly the most stream-lined sort of meal but ideal for the weather.
Dessert was some left over cake and ice cream.
Time to make more dessert for the week. I need to think of something. Anything.

The post was good yesterday. I received two books from Paperback Swap so there were things to read in the bath. I don't give away/trade many of my books but it is kind of a useful service when I do have something to put out there. It is a fairly cheap and useful way to get my fix. Not to mention I can also make someone else happy when I send them a book they have been desiring.

Now if I could only get rid of a copy of "Cooking for Dummies" (something Mr. Jenner got when he was living on his own and single) and "Pasta by Request". (an old Pasta & Co cookbook)
Cull. Cull. Cull.
