Yesterday sorbet was made. This morning I baked bread. What with my bread-baking obsession these days -the house kind of smells like a bakery all of the time.
Now that I have perfected this one recipe and I have found the consistent rhythm, I think it is time to try some other kind of bread.
My table has magazines and books stacked about as I keep looking for more culinary projects to investigate.

I found some seeds I had forgotten about in a cupboard, so I am germinating them on a paper towel to see if anything will happen. If it works out, then I can transfer them to pots and eventually into the new garden bed. My hope is that there will be squash and late season potatoes later this year. We shall see.

So this is life for the moment: cooking, gardening, playing with my son and lots of book reading. It isn't a whirlwind of adventure but it is entertaining.

At some point I need to vacuum.
But then I always need to vacuum. Or fold the laundry. The laundry never ends. And there is only three of us? I would hate to envision what it would be like if there were more people.

Anyway, I am going out with a friend today. There will be snark, beverages and indignation at the world.
