I went to a tea festival with [livejournal.com profile] bbcaddict and assorted entourage. It was a tiny affair but it was still interesting. I admit one of my favorite parts was observing a bunch of girls(?) who were sporting that gothic harajuku look. (please see LAMB-era Gwen Stefani for further reference) There was one white guy in a trench coat who was hanging out with them. Maybe he was corraling them? I am not sure. A few wore teeny little top hats. I did turn to [livejournal.com profile] bbcaddict at one point and say, "I am so glad I didn't wear my teeny tiny top hat and frilly skirt like I had planned to." There was speculation that they might be interested in cos play. Many questions lingered.
As for the tea there were some interesting samples. I tried a few different green teas which are nice but not my favorite. I did enjoy a lychee white tea by Choice organic teas. In the end I ended up acquiring quite a few freebies and some tea-infused chocolate and a darjeeling tea. (in addition to some rather swank black teas)
There were some photography exhibits of tea plantations and people serving tea in some Asian countries. And there were some presentations (like tea ceremonies) as well.

Senor Onion has been slightly grumpier than usual and I thought he might be coming down with something. That was not the case. It seems I am attempting to come down with something. This is a very rare thing. I don't get sick. So I am going to try and convince myself that I will be fine. Copious amounts of garlic will be ingested. No one may want to come near me but I won't get too ill. Blah blah boring sauce.

Okay gotta go be perky.
