..something of little substance.
Dec. 6th, 2008 09:06 pmDropped my rabbits off with my Mother so she could bunny-sit them while we are away. Wandered a bit downtown and found a few interesting things and of course said hello to various people -that is what I do when I am in town. It is always a surprise when I run across people I haven't seen in some time and it is obvious they are getting older. But then so am I.
Mailed some more Christmas cards this morning, took Senor Onion swimming (as much as you can with a two year old) and he enjoyed playing with a ball. He spent most of the session giggling his head off about everything. He is beginning to make the connection about kicking and moving his arms just so. He even likes to lie on his back and float a bit with assistance. While he did skip his nap he was worn out by the day and was easily put to bed. Last night he woke up and I had a devil of a time getting him back to sleep. I had him asleep and then some bastard came driving through blasting music (this was around midnight) and they decided to sit on the block blasting the music for sometime. I thought about murdering that person. It took another two hours to get Senor Onion back to sleep. So I was awfully worn. I suspect Senor Onion was extra worn as he ended up waking up about half-past five.
Please let him sleep good and hard tonight.
I think it is time to take a bath and read for awhile.
I saw a cake recipe in the Guardian that looks appealing. It has almonds and clementine oranges. Maybe if I am organized I can make that this week.
