My youngest brother is here for the weekend. He is baby-sitting for us Saturday night and he gets to hang out in the city. Win-win.
He brought his guitar along because well if my brother goes somewhere -the guitar comes along as well. The nice thing is that he is genuinely talented. He hangs out and jams. He has completely entranced Senor Onion who has discovered the existence of guitars as of late. So Senor Onion is absolutely thrilled and content to just sit next to his Uncle G and listen to him play for hours. He will hum along and kick his legs.
I joked to my brother that he could become a children's entertainer. He shuddered like Sideshow Bob.
I suppose if your interest is more... blues-based; the idea of having to sing Baby Beluga for the public is exquisite torture.

Strange dreams last night; apparently the Queen of England turned out to be some relation. Nice lady, she complimented my jewelry. I don't know what that was about. I suppose I admire a woman who knows how to carry a handbag in the most awkward of situations. That is a skill.

Dinner turned out well last night. Paprikash is a new favorite among the Jenner men. They gobbled it all up and I found that I am not too bad at making dumplings. Tonight we are keeping it simple with home-made macaroni and cheese. I suspect there may be pancakes at some point this weekend. We got a copy of of Pancakes for Breakfast by Tomie DePaola and somehow it has become a favorite. And there have been many conversations about pancakes. As there should be.
