Yesterday I began to feel really light-headed and dizzy. I am used to the shortness of breath but this seemed more obvious than usual. And I felt a sort of peculiar pressure in my head (throbbing veins are exciting) and so I took the advice of a friend and my Mother and called the doctor. Nothing major. Nothing scary where I had to come in. (just told me to keep an eye on things) Still it kept bothering me and I kept wondering what was up because it seemed more...severe. I began to look on the old internet. I skipped past the pages that said I obviously had cancer and was going to die and eventually I found something that completely matched my particular set of symptoms and made a great deal of sense.
A quick background. I have good blood pressure it tends to be in the normal to low range. Which is highly entertaining considering how naturally wound up I am. (queen of the high-strung folks if given half a chance) Even when I am pregnant the blood pressure is chill. It seems that as one becomes more and more pregnant (like I am these days, good lord) and you go to eat, the blood will rush to the digestive area leaving the rest of the body a little short as it were. So the blood pressure drops everywhere else and one feels a little woozy. I realized that most of my symptoms kind of went overload after I had eaten a meal.
Who knew a sandwich would do me in. Apparently it is a good idea to drink fluids and such before I eat to "build up blood volume" to prevent my body from going, "meh".
I figure this is good information to share with anyone else who decides it would be entertaining to become pregnant.
Also Baby Biscuit is pushing against my lungs as of late. Ooof.
I was having strange dreams where I in labor and running around on some sort of obstacle course in the woods. Symbolism I tip my hat to you.
