what I have been up to.
Sep. 21st, 2009 10:06 pmWhen I was in the hospital after having Miss Biscuit, I ended up watching Martha Stewart that day. (something to do while nursing) They were making Pumpkin Whoopie Pies and they looked darn good. I made a note to look for the recipe later on. I gathered up the ingredients and felt today was a good day to make them. It is supposed to be rather warm over the next few days so the stove won't really be turned off, but hey we need baked goods. (I also made some oatmeal apple cookies with Senor Onion this morning) I had extra incentive as my Mother and two of my siblings were going to stop by this evening for a short visit. (they had gone to the fair today)
So they had fun seeing short people and eating stuff. They brought me scones from the fair -which I appreciate.

Pumpkin whoopie pies. They were pretty good. Moist and fun to make. I don't add as much filling as some, but there was enough to be pleasing.
Miss Biscuit is gearing up for another serious growth spurt. I think I have nursed ninety million hours today. I am exhausted. She also hasn't really slept today. Nothing but a tiny girl wanting several Thanksgiving dinners. She won't have anyone else hold her for very long before she starts yelling, "FEED ME LADY." She is dainty.
Time to see if she will let me take a bath.
