not too shabby

Actually it was a pretty decent day. There was grocery shopping and laundry accomplished. Senor Onion took a proper nap! In fact Miss Biscuit also napped a bit at the same time so I had some actual time where I could just sit and be.
I made boeuf bourguignon for dinner. It turned out rather well. I baked some cookies for the weekend and I managed to accomplish a few other tasks. I even had Senor Onion help me put away the laundry. Maybe I will make a bunch of applesauce this weekend.
Awhile back someone on LJ scanned pictures from an out of print Edward Gorey book. It was called The Recently Deflowered Girl. It was very funny and clever and it seems the powers that be have brought it back in print. I put it on my wishlist. (the link will also lead you to some images so you can take a look.)
I think it is time for a hot bath and some reading time with the puritans.
