Another day. Another cake.
I just put a cake in the oven as I had this overwhelming urge to bake something while it is cool enough outside. I know I won't be able to for the rest of the week. It is a way to keep my hands busy. The alchemy is almost compulsive at times.
I washed and hung clothes on the line, watered the garden with the help of the kids and did my best to keep them entertained. We also went grocery shopping. It is one roller coaster ride of excitement in these parts.
I harvested strawberries out of the garden. The kids ate most of them. Miss Biscuit was pretty darn vocal about wanting more. She might not be able to hold her own on Firing Line but she can sure make her point known. I like that about her. She knows what she wants and she will do her best to communicate (in her limited capacity) them.
Senor Onion who often has battles to get his trousers or shorts on the right way made us giggle today. He had put on his shorts backward and he was very frustrated and said in a rather put-upon tone, "Put my legs on the right way." Mr. Jenner pointed out that that might be difficult. Eventually we got him sorted out. Like his Mother he is loathed to accept help and wants to do it by himself. This is my penance. I offer it up.
