a reminder

I was looking for a particular image on google and I clicked on what I was looking for. It lead to a blog where this girl was chronicling her trip to Paris with her husband. They were on their honeymoon! It was an entertaining blog but the updates lead up to about three years ago. I noticed a couple of links to one side that I figured had something to do with the person blogging. One was another blog of hers that also ended a couple of years ago. The other lead to a blog of the husband. It seems that this couple had a baby a few months ago. It is kind of an amusing jump from a lovely honeymoon in Paris (where they went to the Musee D'Orsay among other places) to a baby who was born during a blizzard.

In the space of about five minutes I came to know so much about a pair of nice people I have never met. It is one of the wild and wonderful things about the internet. You can fall down a rabbit hole and end up somewhere so pleasant.

But then that is also how I've come to know some truly amazing people on LJ. Random finds and they turn out to be people who mean the world to me over the years. Humanity: it's wacky but kind of awesome.
