I know of someone who is going to be traveling with her baby in a few months. Of course she read something about a child being kicked off of a flight because it had a tantrum. (obviously the circumstances of that are complicated so let's ignore that conversation for a bit) So one has concerns, "How do I survive a flight with a small person?"
Good question. One could suggest using controlled substances but that can have iffy results.
Some of this is advice I have had from journey-man parents (truly some of the best people I know), some of it is found through my own experience and observations on assorted flights.
( what to pack and how to not look like a refugee )
( Having made it to the airport, what to do now that you are a sweaty mess )
If you want a good laugh here are some of my adventures with flying with my children.
I've been flying with them since Senor Onion was 3 weeks old. He is now nearly five and a half and is one heck of a traveler. He has been to several countries. Is aces on public transport, loves to fly, and is pretty relaxed. As long as there are snacks, some good shows to watch, and he has his stuff friends.
Miss Biscuit first started flying when she was about six months old. She knows how to get flight attendants to give her a lot of free stuff. I think she will go far and be one of those people who finds their way to first class.
