The UK passports for the kids arrived yesterday. Huzzah. Another huge thing to mark off of the check-list. We are in the midst of filling out my visa application. It is kind of like a choose your own adventure book as written by the people for Yes, Minister. We spend a great deal of time going back and forth through the information and looking things up. "Do they mean...this? or that? Motherfucking Sir Humphrey Appleby"
Once we are done with that we will send that along with supporting documents showing that I am indeed married to Mr. Jenner of my own free will and that I am not there as some sort of scam.

Yesterday I also finally got to meet an internet friend I've known for a number of years. It was pretty delightful if I say so myself. She was in town with her family (her husband was doing some work-related thing) so I (and the kids) met up with her and her daughter for lunch. Her daughter and Senor Onion hit it off immediately. (both seem to be extroverts) It helped that Senor Onion brought a few of his thomas trains and he was happy to share them with her and they created a tunnel out of salt & pepper shakers and a napkin. It was so novel to have a conversation in person with my friend. I got to hear more about this insane ravelry drama. (seriously knitters, what is up???) It's a dang shame she doesn't live here. But I am pleased as punch that we got to have lunch and I took her to Weaving Works. Maybe we will see each other again when it isn't pouring down rain.
