weeeeeeeeeehawwwwwww
Jun. 4th, 2012 08:36 amI bought a new dress recently. It was this flamingo dress. It is pretty nice. It has an interesting cut-out in the back so it feels a little weird at times because my skin is exposed so I either feel this patch of warmth or cold. I wore it yesterday to a baby shower. I loved this baby shower because there weren't games. Just good food, some nice drinks, amusing people, pugs, and then more food. It was kind of hilarious too because there were these recollections of things and people from ten/twelve years ago. It was a very Seattle experience. This place is so interconnected at times that it isn't a city, it is really a clan. Which is kind of fun in a way. We can blame some of it on Livejournal. (especially if you are a certain age.)
The dress worked well and I got many compliments on it. So it was worth the price.
Yesterday morning I watched some of the jubilee flotilla which was entertaining. Senor Onion was watching some of it with me. (through the power of the internet you can watch live streaming of nearly anything) He looked at the Queen's barge and said, "It's very pretty. I like it because it is red." He felt it was rather fancy because of the gold. Miss Biscuit found a Mrs. Potato head crown and had me place it on her head. She then told me, "I am a Queen" and did this "I am regal and I may let you gaze upon my royal person." look which cracked me up. I have to hand it to HM, she put on a good brave face even when the weather completely fell apart. Though I bet she wanted to wear a fur coat with a flask in the pocket. And as usual I love the choice of hat that the Duchess of Cambridge wore. Seriously I want her entire collection of hats. HATS.
The rest of the weekend has been spent culling. I need to continue with this reign of terror in terms of reducing the amount of stuff we have.
Local folk:
I have a humidifer in the shape of a penguin. I am selling it for 15 bucks. It can sit on a table and help you when you are sick like a dog.
I also have a fairly new iron that I will sell for 10 bucks. Great for when you want to go to town on some table linens.
AND I have a pretty kick-ass big ol' crockpot for 20 bucks. Makes great pulled pork, let me tell you. (because that is what we had for dinner last night.)
