bit of sun

Here we are. A Monday. I know things have been accomplished. I ordered curtains today. (thank you eBay for making things cheaper) Mr. Jenner was sick in the night so he spent much of the day in bed. I kept things pretty low-key for the children but there is that urge within Nana to plan activities so we went to the playground and then to the beach. It was timed pretty neatly as the sun was out for that. The kids got pretty wet (as expected) and Nana accidentally fell into a pool (which was quite unexpected) and hopefully it wore the kids out. Miss Biscuit who continues her quest to be a fish, kept trying to swim about all the while stripping off her clothes. It seems a natural reaction to the ocean. Then we came back for jaffa cakes and tea. Mr. Jenner was looking better by that point.

Yesterday we began our attempts at being laid back and ended up at that car boot sale, which was all right. Nothing that truly wanted/needed to come home with me. Though there were some interesting vintage ordnance survey maps from the 1930s and 40s. I sort of kick myself for not asking about the price. There was also a slightly falling apart dolls house done in the style of mid twenties/thirties suburban architecture. I was able to practice some of my driving yesterday. The winding roads do give me a nice healthy dose of anxiety; especially combined with driving on the other side of the road nonsense. The hope is that I will be a safer driver as I am hyper aware of everything.

Tomorrow my Mother inlaw is taking my sister inlaw and I, and our respective children to the Milky Way. An amusement park of some sorts. Because by God, we must do activities. (Jenner family motto: must go on excursions, should we bring boots?)

I think I also need to examine some chairs. CHAIRS.
