slouching like a pro
Nov. 30th, 2012 02:06 pmThere are things going on this weekend but there isn't quite the same level of emotional need, which is nice. I skipped out on swimming today as I am just too crampy to deal with that. I declined an offer to go to this one community potluck thing. I think I would be keen most of the time but it would keep the kids up a bit late, and I know that in the coming weeks there will be a million other things going on. So let's just say no here and there. Saying, "no" can be a pleasure and a relief on occasion. We'll go into town, run some errands, look at things, hit up the library. We'll break out advent calendars and some other advent/christmas decorations. We'll see the family on Sunday. There will be time to just be.
Today I am making soup, and eating my weight in satsumas. The smell of those tiny oranges, and all things spicy are the start of a lot of good things. I love the heck out of this time of year. Come to my house, eat cookies, slouch on the sofa, and we can talk about people we know.
